The story of today is the much anticipated school report arriving by mail.
We are indeed celebrating this.
There is a pocket on this side too (see day 7 for that pages pocket) - I actually stitched them at the same time.
One of the absolute pluses of DIY'ing a set of Travelers Notebook inserts for this project is the ability to take out pages to machine stitch.
Left page: the pocket is cut from one of the 12x12 papers found in the Oh Joy by Pinkfresh paper pack. The second mini pocket also on the left is a piece of the acetate cut apart sheet (also in the Oh Joy collection) leftover from an earlier spread, it is attached by 2 staples using my tiny attacher. Tag and red ric rac from my stash with the #8 from Ali Edwards December Daily main kit, again I have washi taped off the portion I didn't want to colour with Ali's gold ink.
Right page: has a glassine bag, inside is a photocopy of my son's school report and a letter I wrote to him. Atop is a messy circle - celebrate this - and a few sequins from Ali Edwards December Daily 2016 main kit. I have secured the contents to the front of the bag with an arrow paper clip from my stash.
The full photo and journaling -
Thank you for joining me for my day 8,
Cheers,
Michelle x.
