Day Four, December Daily 2016

Posted by

Super super simple pages today.

A sequinned hand stitched tree is paired with a photo of part of our tree.

If you look closely at the red bauble you will see mine and my Guide Dog Puppy's reflection.

I chose to completely cover the #4 in gold ink for today's spread, it coordinates better with the gold baubles.

The photo is sized 4x6 so as to match the previous pages photo - the page is vellum so shows through.

A close up of the sequinned hand stitched tree -

I simply drew a triangle centred on a page template (my pages are 11cm wide by 20cm tall), placed the acetate on top, pierced stitching holes in the acetate, threaded up my needle, had a bunch of sequins handy and stitched away. All up took about 35 minutes.

I thought originally it would go here in my notebook but changed my mind... as you do.

The beauty of these notebook pages not being secured with staples or stitching till finished, is that I can move patterned paper and vellum and acetate around as each days documenting or photo/s dictate.

Thanks for joining me on this journey through December,
