Pocket Page Notebooks are a beautiful marriage
between a Traveler's Notebook Insert and a
Page Protector... the best of both design elements
in one Notebook. MICHELLE HUNTER, designer.
The Pocket Page Notebook consists of 52 pages (26 double plus 2 single) in total with a crisp white 110gsm page alternating with a clear full length page protector. The cover on the outside is Kraft coloured 200gsm cardstock and is white on the inside. The white inside cover was a very deliberate design choice as was the full length page protector. The size is the exact same as a regular Traveler's Notebook - 11cm wide x 21cm tall (approximately 4.33in x 8.25in).
Best of both worlds - paper and page protectors.
Though not easy to see in this photo (following photos will show this more clearly) - the left page is crisp white 110gsm paper, the right side is a clear full length page protector (opening is at the top). Full length because I wanted a place to tuck memorabilia eg tickets and maps and postcards, also full length photos (one of the things I love most about pocket page albums is being able to go big with photos but with a Pocket Page Notebook there is no having to cut them to fit across 2 or more pockets). A full spread photo is possible simply by cutting in half, adhering one side to the paper page and slipping the other side into the facing page protector.
TIP: I cut my full page photos to approx 10.5cm x 21cm so it can easily slip into the page protector pocket.
The page protector can be fused (WeRMK Fuse tools and decorative tips are now listed instore) at intervals to accommodate smaller pieces of memorabilia you may want kept separate. Protectors can be hand stitched also. Machine stitching (I have found) is only possible on the outer edges (vertically) of the page protector because the rest of the notebook gets in the way. Shaker pockets either full or part look amazing!
Ooh there's a sneak of the label that Sue Ko of Script by Sue Ko designed for me!
Here it is in full -
I love it!
You will find that sticker on the back of every notebook you receive!
The following are a bunch of photos that show my Pocket Page Notebooks in use, the artists name is included before each photo. A diverse bunch of awesome ladies responded to my Expressions of Interest, Creative Team and I have included (with their permission) some of their creations. A wide range of styles are represented... anything is possible in a Pocket Page Notebook - paint / patterned paper / photos / ephemera / tip ins / digital / handwriting / collage / all of the above... again the best of both formats.
and a couple from me to illustrate some techniques:

Cork board vision board, this occupies the centre paper pages of my Pocket Page Notebook that I am using for my One Little Word journey in 2017 (YES). The notebook's first, last and centre pages are paper.

There you have it, some inspiration and some in action illustrations of the paper and pocket pages.
